COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT

Community Involvement/donations

2014 Black History Month Family Festival at the Sacramento Crocker Arts Museum

SQC has committed itself to these ideals in addition to their constant community contributions to organizations supporting women and children throughout Sacramento. SQC donates food, warm fleece hats, scarves and personal items to Wellspring Women’s Center.

Children’s quilts to Next Move Homeless Services, and for over 7 years to the children of the Oak Park Community Center and lap quilts to Bruceville Terrace Medical Center.

SQC has been graced with amazingly talented women who care about their community and have donated their time, their skills and money to making a difference in the Sacramento Community.

In February 2018, SQC participated in an event at the Crocker Art Museum in collaboration with The Faith Ringgold: An American Artist Exhibition.

Members of SQC created a hands-on activity for children to make their own quilt blocks and their completed blocks were exhibited in the Crocker Museum.
